At the Dove-Shell Federation we work with Oldham Music service to provide high-quality musical education taught by experts in their field. We are committed to the vision and purpose of Oldham Music service as our delivery partner:
- Music can transform children’s lives and we want to work with local families, schools and other organisations to make sure that all children get the chance to play music, achieve great things and inspire others. (OMS)
- The Oldham Council Music Service is committed to supporting and fulfilling the musical aspirations of all young people living in the borough (in and out of school), and engaging people of all ages in a variety of exciting musical activities. (OMS)
Oldham Music service deliver weekly class music sessions of 30 minutes to every class including EYFS. Our Year 4 classes learn to play an instrument through the Wider Opportunities tuition which is a 45 minute weekly session. Our music provision is further enhanced through additional singing in assemblies, our choir and music tuition for those choosing this.
